PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES

Why are your courses so cheap?

Our mission is to provide affordable, accessible, and attainable pre-licensing education. By keeping our operating costs down, and keeping only online classrooms we are able to provide the classes at such a low price. As you probably already know pre-licensing courses canbe quite expensive. Some providers even provide this course for close to $700. Years ago, when we were in the process of getting our 2-20 license we found ourselves having to save up over the course of several pay periods to afford the class. Now that we find ourselves in a position where we can offer the course to others, we wanted to offer it at a price everyone can afford.

Are you certified by the Department of Financial Services?

Why haven't I heard of you before?

We are a newly certified pre-licensing provider. Chances are there are very few, if any, reviews of us out there. On the footer of our website you can find our Florida Department of Financial Services Provider ID.

Should I buy study flashcards?

Our goal is to make getting your license as economical as possible. Everyone learns differently and only you can answer that question. However, I always recommend that students make their own flashcards. Go to the store and buy a set of index cards and use the information in your book, course, and chapter quizzes to make your own flashcards. In doing so you are reading the information, writing, reading it again as you write it, and finally studying them once your flashcards are done. This makes it very easy to recall the information when it comes to studying and helps you save money.

Do I need to buy a textbook for your class?

Yes, the state requires you to purchase the most recent up to date version of the study manuals. The study manuals are sold by only one vendor in all of Florida. For your 2-15 textbook click here. For your 2-20 textbook click here.

How much time do I have to complete your course?

We currently allow students a full 3 months to complete the course. Course completion includes finishing your final exam with at least a 70%. Since our instructors are compensated based on the amount of students they take we cannot keep students enrolled indefinitely without compensating our instructors accordingly. If 3 months are not enough, students can purchase a 3 month extension, or a 2 week extension to finish the course without losing their previously completed work.

Can I get a refund for my course?

Tuition is non-refundable. For detailed information, and our most up to date refund policy please visit our refund policy page.

After enrolling, when can I access the course?

Once you sign up we recommend allowing 24 hours until you receive your course invitation email. You will receive an email from Instructure Canvas that will allow you to create your password to log on to your course. NOTE: Please check your junk and spam folders for an email titled Course Invitation from Canvas.

Is there any hidden cost after I sign up?

No there is not! The price you see is the price you get. This price is only for the pre-licensing course. Remember you still have to purchase your textbook from the 2-20 study manual vendor, or the 2-15 study manual vendor.

Can you help with an issue I am having with the textbook?

We are not affiliated with neither of the two textbook vendors (NAIFA & FAIA). If you have any questions regarding delivery, availability, overcharging, refunds, etc. Please contact the tetxtbook vendors.

If I need help with the course will someone help me?

Absolutely! Our instructor is ready to help you with any question you may have throughout the course. Simply log in to your class and use the Inbox function to direct message your instructor. Please allow 24 hours from the time you sent the message until you receive a response.

Can I pay for the course now but start it later?

No. Once you sign up you your 3 month time limit starts on that day.

What is your pass rate for the state test?

We are proud to have an ABOVE AVERAGE PASS RATE of 60%! According to the latest report card (2019) released by the Florida Department of Financial Services the average school pass rate is less than 50%!

Do I have to take a state test after this class?

Yes. Most people have to take the state test after completing the pre-licensing course. The only people who are exempt are listed below: 1. An applicant who has earned an insurance degree which includes least 18 semester hours of college credit in property, casualty, health, and commercial insurance from an accredited college or university [an official transcript required].
2. An applicant who becomes a resident of Florida, held a valid resident license with the equivalent line of authority for at least one (1) continuous year prior to applying for a license in Florida, and submit the application for the Florida general lines license within 90 days of becoming a resident of Florida. 3, An applicant who has an original letter from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters certifying they hold the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation.

Do you send course expiration reminders?

We do not send course expiratin reminders. Since the system is completely automated and students are aware of the 3 month timeframe no reminder messages are sent. Once your course expires you will still have access to your messages and if you purchase an extension you will not have to start again and will pick up where you left off.

Extensions during Covid-19.

Through these difficult times of remote working, and lockdowns, Insurance Career Hub allowed free course extensions to students in order to accommodate every one to the best of our abilities. Now that the state of Florida has reopened and removed all Covid-19 restrictions, we too have decided to normalize operations. Per the course terms and conditions all courses will restrict access after 3 months of purchase. Once an extension is purchased you will be able to pick up right where you left off.
